Jody Rakness is the Curriculum Director/Grant Manager for Washakie County School District No. 1 in Worland, Wyoming. In this position, she oversees curriculum and instruction, writes and manages consolidated and competitive grants, oversees continuous improvement efforts, and works with the Administrative Team and Instructional Coaches to monitor the progress and success of district and school improvement efforts.
To ensure the cohesive alignment of continuous improvement efforts district wide, Jody works to promote a collaborative environment with a focus on growing instructional leaders with a shared responsibility for student learning
Prior to her position as Curriculum Director/Grant Manager, Jody served as the District Leadership Coordinator. She has taught at the community college, high school, and middle school levels in the areas of Business Education, Social Studies, and Computer Technology.
Jody has served as WY-ASCD Secretaryand President-Elect of this association. She currently serves as the WY-ASCD President.
Jody was named “Wyoming Curriculum Director of the Year” for 2019.
