Washakie No. 1 Online uses local course instructors who are fully certified in the content area. Support is provided onsite at Worland High School via our Alternative Education Program which is fully staffed with a bilingual director. Elementary and Middle School support is available onsite via after school tutoring and progress monitoring.
Students who are interested in Washakie No. 1 Online must be approved through a formal application/interview process. Washakie No. 1 Online is a very rigorous curriculum that is best suited for students who demonstrate personal responsibility. The Activities Director carefully monitors eligibility for activities that are associated with Wyoming High School Activities Association (WHSAA).
Washakie No. 1 Online typically serves two groups of students: “Washakie No. 1 Online” families, and local Brick and Mortar students:

For the 2018-19 school year, Washakie No. 1 Online is accepting local students only. However, as with the district’s Brick and Mortar policy, our of district students may request to participate in Washakie No. 1 Online courses by completing the district’s “Out of District Request to Attend” form. This form requires the approval of the district Superintendent.
