WCSD#1 is now hiring for a Student Success Coordinator at the Middle School.
The Student Success Coordinator will serve as an academic support interventionist to provide proactive, personalized support to students as a liaison, consultant, advocate and mentor. The SSC will provide support to help students remain in class during times of crisis or frustration instead of out of the classroom, improving the student’s ability to successfully navigate their role in their own education.

Adaptive / Handicap Accessible Playground Equipment
Notice is hereby given that Washakie County School District #1, 1900 Howell Ave., Worland, Wyoming will receive proposals / quotes on this form until 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 30, 2023, for adaptive playground equipment for Washakie County School District No. 1 at East Side Elementary School. The successful proposal / quote will be taken to the Washakie County Board of Trustees for final vote on December 11, 2023.
All Required Equipment shall be exact model or model as close to comparable to the exact model.
Potential playground equipment area could be 1000 Sq Ft up to 1800 Sq ft based on equipment and space needed.
1) (1) Ramped Freestanding (Rock with Me or similar piece of equipment) with Ramp Attachment and
Guardrails for wheelchair accessibility)
2) (3) Sensory Rings, 1 with bells, 1 with piano sensor, on with spin chimes or comparable models
3) (1) Adaptive Swing Package, with galvanized chain, and with adaptive safety belt kit.
4) (1) Inclusive Whirl or Orbit or similar piece of equipment
5) (1) Composer Panel
6) Rubberized Infill (PIP mix or similar material) for playground area for easy wheel chair accessibility,
also may be willing to consider turf.
7) Concrete Curbing will be required around the perimeter of area housing the equipment
District highly prefers that company install the equipment. Please provide this as a separate line item within the proposal / quote. Because of the possibility of Federal Funds being used, the vendor will follow the Davis Bacon Act when
providing the quote. Please allow for quotes to be 30 days or more in order to purchase equipment after Board of Trustees approval.
Shipping of equipment will be to East Side Elementary School c/o Washakie County School District No. 1, 203 N. 15th Avenue, Worland, WY 82401.
Proposals / quotes shall be submitted via email to ccauffman@washakie1.com or can be brought into 1900 Howell Avenue, Worland, WY at the appointed date and time.
Washakie County School District #1 reserves the right to reject any and all proposals / quotes, to waive any informality in the proposals / quotes, and unless otherwise specified by the proposing party, to accept any item in the proposals. Southside Elementary: Bids will be received for a single General Contract including, but not limited to, the replacement of approximately 19 RTU’s with minor system modifications on the building interior.
Westside Elementary School: Bids will be received for a single General Contract including, but not limited to the replacement of approximately 25 RTU’s with the addition of one new RTU and minor system modifications on the building interior.
Sealed bids will be received at 2:00 PM (local time), Tuesday, October 17th, 2023 by the Board of Trustees for Washakie County School District #1, in the Administration Office, 1900 Howell Ave., Worland, Wyoming 82401, at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud for:

Bids shall be accompanied by bid security in accordance with Instructions to Bidders in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish to Engineering Design Associates, within ten (10) days of the bid’s acceptance, Performance, Labor, and Material Bonds, each in an amount not less than 100% of the contract sum, and as authorized by Wyoming Statutes Section 16-6-112 (as amended)
Contractors shall comply with all fair labor practices and must meet the requirements of the Wyoming State Statutes.
Preference is hereby given to materials, supplies, equipment, and machinery and provisions produced, manufactured, supplied, or grown in Wyoming, quality being equal to articles offered by the competitors outside of the State, all as more fully outlined in W.S. SS16-6-106 and 107.
A five percent (5%) preference will be given to resident Wyoming Contractors in accordance with the applicable State Statutes. Resident contractors shall be certified as such by the Wyoming Department of Employment at the time of the bid opening.
No bidder may withdraw his bid for at least thirty (30) days after the scheduled time for receipt of bids, except as noted in the Instructions to Bidders.
The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities, to evaluate the bids submitted and to accept the proposal which best serves the interest of the Owner.
A mandatory pre-bid walk through for all Prime Contractors of the entire project, will be held at 9:30 AM (local time), October 5th, 2023 at the Westside Elementary School, 810 South 6th Street, Worland, WY 82401 and CONTINUING on to Southside Elementary School, 1229 Howell Avenue, Worland, WY 82401. Attendance is required for all Prime Contractors and encouraged for all Subcontractors who are interested in bidding on this project.
