INVITATION FOR BIDS
Washakie County School District #1, Worland, Wyoming will receive sealed proposals from General Contractors for the furnishing of labor, tools, materials, and equipment necessary for the construction of the following project:
SOUTHSIDE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
WESTSIDE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
RTU REPLACEMENT
Washakie County School District #1
Worland, Wyoming
Southside Elementary: Bids will be received for a single General Contract including, but not limited to, the replacement of approximately 19 RTU’s with minor system modifications on the building interior.
Westside Elementary School: Bids will be received for a single General Contract including, but not limited to the replacement of approximately 25 RTU’s with the addition of one new RTU and minor system modifications on the building interior.
Sealed bids will be received at 2:00 PM (local time), Tuesday, October 17th, 2023 by the Board of Trustees for Washakie County School District #1, in the Administration Office, 1900 Howell Ave., Worland, Wyoming 82401, at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud for:
Bids shall be submitted on the form provided with the Contract Documents. Digital Contract Documents may be secured at Engineering Design Associates at 1607 CY Ave, Ste. 303 Casper, Wyoming. Phone: (307) 266-5033, bid-docs@edaengineering.com. Documents can also be found at this District website www.wsh1.k12.wy.us under quick links and then under call for bids
Bids shall be accompanied by bid security in accordance with Instructions to Bidders in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish to Engineering Design Associates, within ten (10) days of the bid’s acceptance, Performance, Labor, and Material Bonds, each in an amount not less than 100% of the contract sum, and as authorized by Wyoming Statutes Section 16-6-112 (as amended)
Contractors shall comply with all fair labor practices and must meet the requirements of the Wyoming State Statutes.
Preference is hereby given to materials, supplies, equipment, and machinery and provisions produced, manufactured, supplied, or grown in Wyoming, quality being equal to articles offered by the competitors outside of the State, all as more fully outlined in W.S. SS16-6-106 and 107.
A five percent (5%) preference will be given to resident Wyoming Contractors in accordance with the applicable State Statutes. Resident contractors shall be certified as such by the Wyoming Department of Employment at the time of the bid opening.
No bidder may withdraw his bid for at least thirty (30) days after the scheduled time for receipt of bids, except as noted in the Instructions to Bidders.
The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities, to evaluate the bids submitted and to accept the proposal which best serves the interest of the Owner.
A mandatory pre-bid walk through for all Prime Contractors of the entire project, will be held at 9:30 AM (local time), October 5th, 2023 at the Westside Elementary School, 810 South 6th Street, Worland, WY 82401 and CONTINUING on to Southside Elementary School, 1229 Howell Avenue, Worland, WY 82401. Attendance is required for all Prime Contractors and encouraged for all Subcontractors who are interested in bidding on this project.

Parents and Guardians - Washakie #1 is hosting Open House events at each school tomorrow night for School Year's Eve! We are so excited to be back in session and cannot wait to see you all.
Watch for our new "Washakie 1" app - schools will be introducing it to parents tomorrow night during each Open House.
Secondary Staff - Grades 6-12 - will meet in the WMS Auditorium Monday morning from 9:00 AM - 12:00 noon for a Behavior Training.
